What is VOL. 1?
FOR THE DESIGNER, STYLIST, OR BRAND WITH A COMPELLING STORY TO TELL — YET NO DEFINED MOOD BOARD — THIS IS AN IDEAL STARTING.Each month, Jean-Claude opens the door to something raw and experimental — a creative session where boundaries don’t apply. Whether it’s photo, video, or both, these sessions are born from instinct and emotion, not formulas or briefs.
To keep it honest and inspired, only one collaboration is offered per month — sometimes two, if the spark feels right. One of them might even be fully complimentary, chosen for the story, not the name.
Each of these Experimental Shoots is an artistic exploration — part cinema dialogue, part photography. Ideas evolve freely, capturing moments that are both sweeping and profoundly intimate. This is not a campaign; It is not commercial. It’s the in-between. It is for brands and creators who seek unparalleled honesty and creative edge. These sessions are currently offered pro-bono (free of charge) as artistic collaborations aimed at developing the ‘Vol 1’ visual library and pushing creative boundaries.

NOTE ON COLLABORATION: All collaborations are guided by Jean-Claude Dib’s singular artistic vision. The collaborator recognizes and grants unrestricted usage rights for the resulting imagery (photo and video) to be utilized by Jean-Claude Dib for portfolio, marketing, and exhibitions purposes.

Jean-Claude Dib uses his camera to give the people he photographs (whether celebrities or models) a sense of profound, relatable humanity and emotional truth.
Focusing on emotional Resonance & Vulnerability. He aims for soulful, compelling, and provocative images that capture an honest reaction.
His aesthetic involves Stark, Cinematic, Raw, Earthy, and Intimate visuals. While he uses color, his images possess a muted, unpolished texture, prioritizing natural light and a feeling of immediacy. Jean-Claude Favors natural, available light and a less-is-more approach to emphasize realism.
The Full Artistic Commision
“Vol. 1” is the experimental space—where visuals are born from pure instinct. The Full Commission is the defined, comprehensive vision. This is reserved for established brands and individuals requiring a strategically executed campaign, lookbook, or cinematic brand film. While Vol. 1 transcends the brief, the Full Commission is where that same cinematic instinct is applied to a complete creative narrative—yours or ours—to sculpt your enduring visual legacy.
